Going hiking in the woods in those jeans, a night out with friends or family, or just watching a movie at home; it’s essential to be completely comfortable. Wheatear they are tight or lose cut makes all the difference in their combines, durability, and performance. So if you have a favorite pair of jeans or jean shorts that you need to be fixed, bring them to Alteration At Home.
Jeans Pants alteration: can be such a problem. We want them to fit snugly all over, but often, they fit just right in the hips and legs, only to gape at the waist. Luckily, there is a solution — and it doesn’t involve a belt. (Though knowing how to Do It Yourself belt loops isn’t such a bad idea.) With a bit of at-home Alteration, that so-so pair of jeans will fit precisely the way you want.
Start by carefully removing the belt loop at the center back of your jeans. Set that aside since you’ll replace it after you make your alterations. There are two options for trying on jeans: inside- or right-side out. Either way is excellent, and you’ll want to pin how much you need to take out, making sure not to lose any pins when you take the jeans off. Don’t make the waist super-tight during this step, as you want to be able to move comfortably. A good test: once you have your fabric pulled in where you want to pin, sit down, and make sure there’s enough leeway in the waist.
